Children's Reading Program
Register HERE Ages 3-12
Children can earn prizes and books by filling out the Time Log ! Every 15 minutes read allows can be marrked off on their log. A completed row will earn them a prize and after completing it they will earn a free book. This year we are limiting each child to 2 completed Logs. Pick up a reading log at the library with your free registration bag.
Teen Reading Program
Register HERE Ages 12-18
Teens earn prizes based on the number of challenges they complete. After every challenge teens earn a ticket that is placed in a drawing for prizes at the end of the summer. You can pick up the teen reading logs at the library, or you can print it yourself by clicking the link below.

Adult Reading Program
Register HERE 18 & up
Adults can participate in summer reading too! For each book you read in the program, you recieve a ticket to be placed in a prize drawing of your choice. The Prize board will be placed in the library at the beginning of July. Prizes will be drawn for September 1st. You can pick up reading logs at the library, or you can print it yourself by clicking the link below.

Summer Reading Calendar 2024
Some of the things currently listed on the calendar are:
Science Heroes- Adventue of the Lost Treasure: Join us on a treasure-hunting adventure deep within the jungle! The audience helps the preformer act out the tale, and they will use the events in the story to explore and preform several exciting science concepts!
Magician Adam White: This show is a unique blend of family fun, comedy magic & audience participation! All of the children will be able to help “make the magic happen.” FREE magic tricks will be given to all when they meet the magician after the show
Exotic Animals Presentation: Native Iowan Dr. Michael Bechtel has always raised exotic animals in his classrooms and his home including snakes, lizards, and poison dart frogs. Dr. Bec will bring a few of his animal friends with him!
--a special Teen presentation will be provided at the Alley
Creating Cartoon Characters: Will Stuck is a long time art enthusist and a former librarian! In his class he will teach Teens how to create their own cartoon character.

Teen Events: Painted Tote Bags, Bleached T-shirts, and Escape Room have already been planned for the month of June!
Book Walk: Will be announced on Facebook as time allows!
