Genealogy Room
The Lamoni Library was designed with a small community room intended for use of the public to do geneology and local history research. Library staffing has limited time to help with the use of this space, but individuals are more then welcome to "poke around". If help is needed with the contents of the room please contact the Library and schedule a time.
Online Local History Archive
You can access the Local History Archive from anywhere! Search for individuals using their name and find out how they made our local news. Best practice is to any name of phrase in single quotation marks to make sure the full term it being looked for. Example 'John Smith' or 'Rose Hill'.
The Lamoni newspapers date all the way back to 1885, and is updated with the latest newspapers as funding allows.
